Andrew Gray is a multi - instrumentalist, producer, songwriter. Known primarily as the bass player, producer & songwriter in the Australian band WELL? Gray's songs have been featured on Australian national radio (triple J).
After picking up music at a later age, Gray wasted no time pursuing his new manic obsession. Topping his High School year & university classes, Gray completed a bachelor of music at the University of Newcastle in 2020.
Throughout these years, Gray established himself as a pragmatic, autodidact, musician pursuing the depths of musical possibility, primarily focusing on harmony. After becoming known within the Australian Jazz fusion circles, Gray’s deep obsession with harmony soon pivoted to the IDM/hyperpop sounds of Aphex Twin & Brakence , leading to a deep pursuit of musical production.
Gray began teaching bass, guitar, drums & songwriting at age 18. Since then, Gray has expanded these roles into high schools, as well as band workshops which focus on fostering developing songwriting & management skills.
