Join us in the school holidays to create and perform a jukebox musical using dance, drama, singing and art!

  • Dance

Led by our amazing mentor India, we choreograph several dances with our students in the style of jazz and contemporary to express through movement. There is absolutely no dancing experience required, our main aims are to have fun and develop team work.

  • Drama

Our drama teacher Fran is very passionate about encouraging kids to use their imagination. At Bubblegum Jukebox we create a storyline with the help of our students ideas. Then, through developing dialogue and actions, we help our students embody their characters with fun drama games and confidence building skills.

  • Singing

Every Bubblegum Jukebox is made so special by hearing our beautiful student’s voices. Our insanely talented teacher Bree brings out the best in everyones voices and inspires us all to sing more. Using fun catchy songs, we change the lyrics to fit our own storyline, which will often have the parents in giggles. We love singing at BGJB.

  • Arts & Craft

With the guidance of Fran our incredible art teacher, students create props and costumes for the end of week performance that friends and family come a watch. From creating boats to houses, jungles, and flowers we’ve made everything imaginable for our shows and it’s all done by your kids!

With our shared love for creativity and collaboration we run Bubblegum Jukebox as an opportunity for kids to learn invaluable skills of performance and creative collaboration. Throughout the week students develop their own storyline for a musical performance with the help of our experienced mentors. Our end of week performance for family and friends includes dancing, singing, acting, as well as arts and crafts for prop making!

FAQ’S

“How many days does the workshop run for?'“

Answer: “Our workshop runs for the entire week (unless there’s a public holiday’. We encourage kids who are signing up for 3 -4 days only to attend towards the end of the week, so they don’t miss out on our special end of week showcase.”

“Can my child come to Bubblegum Jukebox for 1 or 2 days?”

Answer: “Our minimum sign up is 3 days as our students will need time to learn the dances, songs and scenes. Our workshop isn’t a daycare facility, it’s a specialised workshop for creative kids.”

“Does my child have to be involved in the performance?”

Answer: “We highly encourage kids to be involved in the end of week performance because we spend everyday developing a story line and rehearsing dances, songs and scenes.”

“What if my child suffers from stage fright?”

Answer: “We work very closely with our kids to ensure they’re feeling confident to perform at the end of the week. Any students that struggle with the performing side can help with craft, props and stage managing.”
